Simulation of Agent Movement with a Path Finding Feature Based on Modification of Physical Force Approach
نویسنده
چکیده
Crowd modeling is the study of crowd behaviours and has been used by, for example, safety engineers and architectural designers in assessing crowd movements in buildings under normal and emergency situations. However, many existing crowd models neglect how agents in the crowd explore the environment to find the most suitable or optimal path towards their destinations. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to present an agent-based crowd modeling approach by combining the social force model and the magnetic model that include detailed features of each agent. The agent-based model will be integrated with a path finding algorithm, the Dijkstra Algorithm, for optimal path selection towards the target destinations. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can perform plausible crowd movement in the simulated environment under normal situations. Key-Words: Agent based, physical force approach, path finding

Modified Impedance-Based OOS Protection Based on On-Line Thévenin Equivalent Estimation
In this paper, a novel approach based on the Thévenin tracing is presented to modified conventional impedance-based out-of-step (OOS) protection. In conventional approach, the OOS detection is done by measuring positive sequence impedance. However, the measured impedance may be change due to different factors such as capacitor bank switching and reactive power compensators that it can cause the...
متن کاملModification of Tennant and Wetted Perimeter Methods in Simindasht Basin, Tehran Province
Environmental Flow Requirement (EFR) is defined as the flow that is necessary to ensure the existence of habitats in water resources systems. EFR is defined in rivers as flow index commonly. Tennant method is the most popular hydrological method in rivers and based on the historic flow data. The most common method of hydraulic rating method is the wetted perimeter method. Habitat simulation tec...

Water injection is used as a widespread IOR/EOR method and promising formation damages (especially mechanical ones) is a crucial challenge in the near-wellbore of injection wells. The magnesium oxide (MgO) NanoParticles (NPs) considered in the article underwater flooding experiment tests to monitor the promising mechanical formation damage (size exclusion) in lab mechanistic scale include m...
متن کاملA Study of Pedestrian Movement on Crosswalks Based on Chaos Theory
Walking, as an important transportation mode, plays a large part in urban transportation systems. This mode is of great importance for planners and decision-makers because of its impact on environmental and health aspects of communities. However, this mode is so complex in nature that makes it difficult to study or model. On the other hand, chaos theory studies complex dynamical nonlinear syste...
متن کاملDesign, Fabrication and Intelligent Control of the Gripper Based on SMA Actuators
This paper presents the designing, simulation, fabrication and control of a gripper actuated by Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wire. The presented gripper has the advantage of the small linear displacement of the slider connected to the SMA wire, and can convert the linear displacement into angular movement of the gripper fingers. In this study, design and simulation processes have been done by two p...
